Job Description Job Description SummaryAs a Aftersales Team Leader, you will be responsible for leading a team that works on Aftersales activities related to HVDC Control & Protection System engineering and drive long-term value for customers through reliable service.The role gives an excellent opportunity for a motivated leader to expand his/her people management skills and personal development within an international project organisation delivering complex HVDC system. Our Aftersales Team leader is essential to the successful execution of aftersales phase of HVDC projects. He provides technical leadership to engineers to make sure that they deliver valuable systems solutions with an excellent operational rigour.Job DescriptionIn this role you will:Serve as the Main Point of Contact with the Project Engineering Managers (PEMs) for Control & Protection system Engineering point of viewManage and lead the team to successfully execute close-out activities that maximizes HVDC availability, ensures rapid restoration, and creates long-term value for customers through reliable service.Capturing Workload forecasting and assign & monitor the resource loadingCoordinates all After-sales engineering activities and ensures follow-up & closure of open technical itemsMaking sure all the processes related to After-sales are up to date and followedProvide technical leadership, advice and assistance to the overall aftersales team.Lead and motivate a group of technical people.Day-to-day interaction with different functions and joint problem solving within the team for efficient collaboration and continuous competency development.Act as a problem solver and take responsibility for control & protection along with automation of HVDC solutions.Support strategic & improvement initiatives from Aftersales point of view.To be a successful in this role, you should have:Experience in an engineering & project leadership environmentExperience in application engineering in one or more fields, from controls engineering, protection, automation, HVDC, and grid connected systemsExperience in project execution of HVDC or similarExperience of design and system integration working on complex multi-disciplinary projectsControls & Protection of HV & LV systemExperience of owning the job, making it their own, and adding value beyondCapable of leading large multi-disciplinary teamsAbility to multi-task on a variety of tasks to strict time scalesStrong analytical, interpersonal, communication, presentation and facilitation skillsCustomer-centric mind set, experience in translating customer issues / needs into profitable business solutionsQualificationsMin Degree in Electrical / Electronic Engineering or Project Management & equivalent degree with suitable industry experience.At least 8 years’ experience in Control & Protection system and have strong problem-solving skills.Strong sense of urgency and ability to identify and manage team organisational risks.Proven skills in managing and leading team with strong technical backgroundStrong written and verbal communication skills.Able to work to deadlines under pressure whilst maintaining the safety, quality, and engineering integrity of the solution.Must be flexible with working hours and willing to travel globally.Desired CharacteristicsStrong oral and written communication skills. Strong interpersonal and leadership skills, experienced in creating and presenting to other stake holders.Demonstrated ability to analyse and resolve problems.Demonstrated ability to lead projects activities.
