As a Senior Footwear Product Testing Analyst, Local Creation, based at Nike’s Greater China Headquarters, you will play a key role in bringing the voice of the athlete into the product creation process and ensuring every footwear innovation delivers against Nike’s world-class standards for fit, comfort, and performance.The ideal candidate is an active learner, a strong communicator, and a relationship builder who thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams across Product Creation, Development, Engineering, and Sports Marketing to influence product decisions and drive continuous improvement throughout the footwear creation journey.Success in this role requires exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Most importantly, you bring a relentless curiosity and a passion for creating innovative products that inspire and enable athletes around the world.WHAT YOU WILL WORK ONAs a Footwear Product Testing Senior Analyst, Local Creation, you will lead and manage all aspects of the footwear testing process, from test planning and athlete recruitment to test execution, data analysis, report development, and overall program management. Your work will ensure that Nike footwear delivers against the highest standards of fit, comfort, durability, and performance.Leveraging your knowledge of footwear manufacturing, materials, and construction, along with a deep understanding of the Athlete* experience, you will provide data-driven insights and recommendations to product creation teams. You will help inform decisions around materials, components, and construction methods, while identifying performance issues and opportunities for improvement before products move into production.You will support a diverse portfolio of footwear products developed for the Greater China marketplace, partnering closely with both Greater China Local Creation and Global Product Creation teams. Through testing and athlete insights, you will play a critical role in influencing product decisions and driving continuous improvement throughout the product creation journey.On any given day, you may be recruiting and engaging Athlete* testers, conducting wear tests, analyzing results, presenting findings to cross-functional partners, attending product review meetings, and managing prototype samples. Testing activities take place both on and off Nike’s Greater China campus, allowing you to connect with athletes where they live, train, work, and play.Because athlete testing often occurs outside of traditional business settings, this role requires flexibility and a willingness to work occasional non-traditional hours to support testing activities and capture authentic athlete feedback.WHO YOU WILL WORK WITHAs the Footwear Product Testing senior analyst for prioritized footwear projects in Shanghai, you will serve as the primary testing partner for local and global Nike Footwear Product Creation teams, helping evaluate and validate footwear concepts throughout the product creation journey.A key part of your role will be engaging directly with Athletes* to better understand their needs, experiences, and performance expectations. Through athlete insights and testing data, you will help shape product decisions and ensure the voice of the athlete is represented throughout the development process.You will collaborate daily with cross-functional partners across Product Development, Engineering, Sports Marketing, and Design, building strong relationships and influencing product excellence through objective testing and consumer insights. Your ability to communicate effectively, navigate ambiguity, and work across diverse teams will be critical to your success.This role reports to the Director, Footwear Product Testing, Greater China, based in Shanghai. You will also be part of Nike’s global Footwear Product Testing community, connecting with fellow analysts and testing professionals around the world to share best practices, drive innovation, and elevate testing methodologies across the organization.WHAT YOU BRINGBachelor's degree preferred, or an additional three years of relevant work experience in lieu of a degree.Minimum of three years of experience in a professional work environment. Experience in footwear,product testing, product development, marketing, engineering, retail, athletics, or customer service is preferred.Knowledge of footwear components, materials, and inline production processes is highly desirable.Strong verbal and written communication skills in both Mandarin and English.Experience working with athletes, coaches, and equipment managers is preferred.Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, with working knowledge of spreadsheet databases and statistical analysis methods.Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 20 pounds (9 kg).Passion for sports and athletic performance is a plus.Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 10% of the time.
