For Werkplaats we are looking for a cook who can independently run the kitchen of Werkplaats. Werkplaats - on the ground floor of Volkshotel - is a large cafe with a terrace plus co-working space. It is a meeting place where many different people come together. Werkplaats has a self-service bar, where food and drinks can be ordered from early in the morning until late at night. From a croissant with coffee to a healthy lunch. And from beer and bitterballen to a burger with fries. Do you have at least two years of experience as a chef and do you enjoy preparing fast food such as burgers? Then you might become our new colleague. Are you: - Living in Amsterdam (or the surrounding area)? - Stress-resistant and at least 18 years old? - Flexible, punctual, socially skilled and do you speak English? - Someone who likes to work alone and takes responsibility for it? This is what your day looks like: You prepare dishes according to recipe and planning and ensure that everything that leaves the kitchen looks and tastes good. In between preparations, you keep your working environment and kitchen equipment clean. You comply with the hygiene regulations and pass on details/defects to the manager. You also keep an eye on the stock and pass on any orders to the chef. When new items are delivered, you help with receiving and storing them. Do you want to stay around after your shift is over?
