Cook Spanish kitchen

Restaurant De Basiliek in Middelburg is looking for a chef to join our team for the months of June, July, August, and September. What will you be doing? You will work together in a team with other Spanish colleagues. From mise en place to preparing dishes during service. Who are you? - You have at least 1 year of experience in a professional kitchen and work independently - You speak English - You have an eye for detail and present dishes with care - You love challenges - You work neatly, are stress-resistant, and think in solutions - You are flexible and a true team player About us De Basiliek is located in Middelburg, a historic city close to the sea. De Basiliek is a beloved spot in our city frequented by many locals as well as tourists. We offer a modern menu with a Spanish touch, where shared dining and the grill set us apart. Quality, taste, and experience are our top priorities. As a cook, you are an important part of this experience. The employee is employed as a seasonal worker. The employment contract is for 6 weeks to 4 months, at least June, July, August, and September. A fixed working volume averaging 38 hours per week is agreed upon. Working hours may vary per week but are averaged over the duration of the employment contract. More hours may be worked in certain weeks as needed. Salary: The minimum salary is €2,500 gross per month and depends on education and experience. Salary classification is in accordance with the 2025-2026 Hospitality CLA. Accommodation is available. Costs amount to €650 including energy, Wi-Fi, etc. It concerns the 2nd floor of a house with shared use of: • the kitchen • the toilet • the bathroom • the balcony The bedroom does not need to be shared.
