Description

This job has a screen-out element which will be used to determine minimum eligibility for this job. Applicants who do not receive a minimum of two points on the screen-out element(s) will be found ineligible. The Screen-out Element for this position is: ABILITY TO DO THE WORK OF THE POSITION WITHOUT MORE THAN NORMAL SUPERVISION. Coordinate and evaluate maintenance requirements associated with Aircraft Launch and Recovery Equipment (ALRE) systems and components. Support on the procedures and standard used for manufacturing, overhauling, repairing, installing and testing ALRE systems and components in support of in-service development programs. Preparing status reports to include inspection details, planning and execution status, as well as forecasting any current or potential issues to maximize efficiency and ensure all rework is completed according to precise specifications. Utilize expert knowledge of materials, fixtures, equipment, and manufacturing/welding processes to analyze project data and identify critical defects or opportunities to improve upon the manufacturing process. You will perform hydrostatic and operational cycle tests of experimental, new or modified components for ALRE systems.
You will prepare sketches and serve on engineering integrated product teams engaged in the design, prototyping and manufacture of new or replacement parts.
You will provide labor hours and material requirement estimates for ALRE manufacture, repair, maintenance, overhaul and installation.
