Crane Operator - U.S. Pacific Fleet

Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will operate cranes to move ammunition, missiles, heavy equipment, machinery beams, lumber, crated or packed material, and similar items. You will maintain crane equipment, performing such tasks as replacing spark plugs and fan belts, and cleaning and lubricating parts of cranes. You will provide and implement plans to ensure material handling equipment (MHE) and ordnance handling equipment (OHE) are certified, inspected, and tested in accordance with appropriate regulations. You will receive, examine, segregate, process, store, and issue fleet returned ordnance materials of all types. You will be a designated certifying official and provide testing and licensing services for personnel who will be operating cranes. You will maintain crane history files in accordance with instructions. You will ensure conformance to all specified technical requirements and safety of ordnance material and operations.
