Minimum Qualifications (Screen Out Element): Ability to do the work of an Electronics Mechanic Leader without more than normal supervision. I have the ability to Lead or Supervise common Electronics Mechanic duties that include using test equipment to diagnose malfunctions, as well as troubleshooting to determine the cause of malfunctions. I can use and operate multimeter, oscilloscopes, and automated test set to diagnose, test and repair electronics equipment. I am skilled in repairing a variety of electronics equipment, systems and devices. I work under normal supervision of a work leader or journey-level employee who observes tasks in progress and upon completion to make sure they are properly performed. - Failure to meet this Screen Out Element will result in an ineligible rating. Ability To Lead or Supervise Ability To Use Hand and Power Tools - Electronics Ingenuity (Ability To Suggest and Apply New Methods) Knowledge of Equipment Assembly, Installation, Repair, etc. Theory of Electronics Trouble shooting (Electronic Equipment) Use of Test Equipment: Electronics Physical Effort: Lifts and carries target mechanisms and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds. Assistance is available when carrying heavier equipment for long distances. Work requires frequent bending, stooping, walking, standing, working in cramped positions, and climbing up and down stairs. Working Conditions: Works inside and outside during all types of weather conditions. Works on remote ranges in rough terrain. Is exposed to the possibility of abrasions, cuts, bruises, burns, electrical shock, falls, and explosions. Hearing protection devices, hard hats, and other safety equipment and devices are issued and available for use. Pass on to other workers instructions received from supervisor, and starts work (e.g., by assigning the immediate tasks to be performed by individual members of the group led). Ensure that needed plans, blueprints, material, scenarios, and tools are available. Ensure that stock or target components needed are obtained from supply locations. See to it that there is enough work to keep everyone in work crew busy. Check work in progress, and when finished, for compliance with supervisor's instructions on work sequence, procedures, methods, and deadlines. Answer workers' questions regarding procedures, policies, written instructions, and other directives (e.g., technical orders, scenarios). Ensure that safety and housekeeping rules are followed. Work along with other workers, setting the pace. Perform organizational, direct, and general support maintenance on all types of electronic automated and manually operated target devices, components, and related devices. Perform general target maintenance and repair of targets, target devices/components, and related equipment. Perform the work of employees who are absent. Operate all terrain motor vehicle and perform operator maintenance. Vehicles operated include a 5-ton truck with trailer.
