You will plan, lay out, and perform the machine operations and bench work to construct models and prototypes for the NRL research community. You will construct complete visual displays and exhibits in support of the NRL Exhibits Program. You will use of a full variety of wood working tools, machines and use knowledge and expertise in the characteristics of all types of wood and wood substitutes. You will construct, install, repair, and maintain exhibits, training devices, and visual displays. You will performs layout work, make templates and jigs when necessary. You will prepare basic frames, select proper materials, fashion and shape parts from wood and other non-metal materials to scale or full size and then assemble.
