Financial and Loan Specialist - Small Business Administration

GS-13: One year of specialized experience, equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service, obtained in either the private or public sector: Analyzing and evaluating the financial statements of a business to structure commercial loans or determine eligibility within the SBA 7(a) program; and Underwriting, approving, or liquidating SBA 7(a) loans. These qualifications must be clearly referenced in your resume. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Generally, time in Non-Pay status as a federal employee is not creditable towards the specialized experience requirement listed above. As a/an Financial and Loan Specialist at theGS- 1101-14, some of your typical work assignments may include: Support the activities of the 7(a) loan program. Plan, develop, and implement strategies for outreach and training activities. Develop and recommend Agency wide policies and procedures which govern Small Business Administrations (SBA's) 7(a) loan program. Develop and recommend the issuance of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), policy statements, interim regulations etc. governing the Agency's loan programs. Develop training material.
