Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will serve as second level industrial equipment mechanic supervisor charged with exercising supervision over subordinate supervisors in accomplishing work in dry-dock maintenance, service craft or environmental sections and/or mixed trade work. You will plan and layout work using blueprints, sketches, work orders, and other specifications. You will review work for adherence to specifications and accepted trade practices. You will ensure complex job assignments are accomplished through subordinate supervisors and leaders. You will conduct planning reviews with assigned personnel, engineers, and technicians of support codes where needed.
