Military Grades: ENLISTED GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Experience, education or training in collecting and analyzing data effectively, efficiently, and accurately. Able to apply procedures and directives by reading and interpreting technical material. Ability to communicate clearly and effectively orally and in writing, using presentation and report formats. Demonstrated ability to follow directions, to read, understand, and retain a variety of instructions, regulations, and procedures. Learned ability to assess the surrounding environment to recognize immediate risk levels. Must have the education and validated understanding of the basic principles and concepts of the occupational series and grade for one of the seven organizational program disciplines and its applicable Security Series career. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must have one year equivalent to at least next lower grade level initiating and implementing policies and procedures required to manage sensitive compartmented information (SCI) programs and to protect SCI resources. Experience establishing policies and procedures for accomplishment of SCI protection and security. Experience serving as the SCI Control Officer responsible for establishing, managing, and controlling all collateral and SCI classified information and material within the Sensitive Compartmented Information Facilities (SCIFs) affecting the Unit's mission. Experience working directly for the intelligence unit commander/Senior Intelligence Officer (SIO), reporting on the administration of the Special Security Office and SCI-associated security programs. Experience managing and directing the activities and personnel of the unit Special Security Office.
As a INFORMATION SECURITY SPECIALIST (GS-0080-11), you will serve as Chief, Special Security Office. Administers the Special Security Office (SSO) and all SCI-associated security programs and measures. Provides detailed research and analysis on physical, computer, and personnel security. This position requires a comprehensive working knowledge of intelligence support operations, procedures, and practices.
