Description

Applicants who do not receive a minimum of two points on the screen-out element(s) will be found ineligible. The Screen-out Element for this position is: I have the ability to perform common tasks including troubleshooting, repairing and calibrating controllers and systems for fire suppression and potable water. I work under close supervision of a work leader or journey-level employee who observes tasks in progress and upon completion to make sure they are properly performed. Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will set up, test, adjust, and operate measurement systems being used to calibrate working standard or test devices and instruments. You will repair or replace defective parts, including parts that must be custom fitted. You will calibrate and repair radio, T1 and fiber optic Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition systems. You will clean, inspect and test devices and instruments to determine whether they are operating properly.
