Description

You will plan work assignments, sequence of work operations for subordinates and coordinate availability of special tools, materials and equipment.
You will instruct workers on proper work methods, difficult work operations, use and care of equipment, and safe work practices.
You will keep all work operations under close observation and control and resolve work problems to overcome bottlenecks, equipment breakdowns, material shortages or other delays.
You will ensure tools, equipment and materials are properly used, stored and maintained.
You will enforce safety, fire, good housekeeping and other regulations.
You will look to improve shop work processes, ensuring manpower and material costs are directly linked to program and mission objectives.
