Examples of specialized experience include performing the following types of tasks on a regular basis. Analyzing reports to share intelligence and/or investigation status with subject matter experts. Writing analytical reports detailing intelligence analyses and findings. Maintaining liaison with other intelligence agencies, law enforcement agencies, and policy makers, to discuss intelligence problems providing command-level intelligence briefings. Interpreting regulations and policies to implement intelligence programs. You will serve as an Intelligence Research Specialist (Counter Terrorism Analyst) and be responsible for providing strategic and operational intelligence support to area operations with an emphasis on Anti-Terrorism and Force Protection analysis and liaises with similar units. Being a Coast Guard civilian makes you a valuable member of the Coast Guard team. Typical work assignments include: Analyzing and contextualizing large volume of technical and sensitive intelligence and law enforcement (LE) reporting on state and non-state sponsored terrorism and homeland defense issues. Planning, organizing, and performing substantive research and analysis of tactically actionable issues and coordinates closely with Analysis and Collections Branch leadership. Applying in-depth knowledge of the intelligence dissemination and collection process to recommend improvements. Preparing timely analytic products that clearly, concisely, and coherently convey the implications of pertinent issues to the formulation and execution of USCG operations and US foreign policy. Producing and disseminating a wide variety of products, including written and verbal briefs, papers, and studies related to pertinent intelligence data and information.
