IT Cybersecurity Specialist (Data Management) - U.S. Coast Guard

Basic Requirements: Experience must be IT related; the experience may be demonstrated by paid or unpaid experience and/or completion of specific, intensive training (for example, IT certification), as appropriate in addition to at least one year of Specialized Experience in order to be found minimally qualified. You MUST meet the following requirements: Individuals must have IT-related experience demonstrating each of the four competencies listed below. Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations. AND To qualify at the GS-14 grade level, your resume must demonstrate at least one (1) full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-13 grade level in the federal sector. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work. Such experience is typically gained in the IT field or through the performance of work where the primary concern is IT. Examples of specialized experience include performing the following types of tasks on a regular basis. Data Operations - Working with data operations (DataOps) processes and best practices. Agile Methodologies - Managing project and program schedules utilizing Agile methodologies Service Management - Knowledge of service management concepts for networks and related standards (e.g., Information Technology Infrastructure Library, current version [ITIL]). Data Management - building, managing, and operationalizing data pipelines, and establishing data teams to support ongoing data initiatives and ensuring effective collaboration across projects. Cybersecurity - Conducting independent comprehensive assessments of the management, operational, and technical security controls and control enhancements employed within or inherited by an information technology (IT) system to determine the overall effectiveness of the controls. You will serve as an IT Cybersecurity Specialist (Data Management) and directly support the Data Integration Division (DID) Chief of the USCG. DID directly supports the USCG integrated data environment and works and collaborates the USCG ODA Data Strategy and Governance (DSG), Data Analytics Division (DAD) and USCG's Command, Control, Communication, Computer, Cyber and Intelligence Service Center (C5ISC) divisions, who serve across USCG IT and data management communities.
