Specialized experience: One year of specialized experience which includes assisting with mail room operations, mail processing, and performing various duties within a mail room. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-05). Performs duties in the organization’s Mail Room in coordination with Receiving and Distribution Warehouse. Conducts security screening on all incoming U.S. mail and ensures proper accountability and control of all accountable mail at all times. Prepares control records for accountability of certain security classified documents or registered mail. Assists personnel in locating material, resolving mail problems and preparing outgoing communications.
