MECHANICAL SYSTEMS INSPECTOR (SHIPS) LEADER - United States Fleet Forces Command

The Screen-out Elements for this position are: - Receive instructions and establish work priorities. - Determine proper material safety precautions and demonstrate proper work and inspection methods. - Ensure required technical procedures, plans, blueprints, materials and tools are available and assembled to support assigned work. - Answer inquiries regarding procedure, policy, written instructions and directives. Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will explain changes to technical procedures and determine proper material safety precautions. You will advise other employees on existing instructions to ensure deadlines are met. You will monitor and ensure safety requirements are followed and tools and equipment are used properly. You will provide oral and written instruction, outlining quality and quantity of work and inspection requirements, and general work/inspection methods and procedures. You will also perform the duties of a Mechanical Inspector; setting the pace, including demonstrating proper methods.
