Motor Vehicle Operator Supervisor - U.S. Army Reserve Command

Minimum Qualifications (Screen Out Element): Ability to do the work of an Motor Vehicle Operator Supervisor without more than normal supervision. Ability to Lead or Supervise - Failure to meet this Screen Out Element will result in an ineligible rating. To meet the screen out element, applicants should document experience or show the ability to do the following: 1) skill in workforce planning 2) training and employee development, 3) administrative and employee management, and 4) operation of motor vehicles. Prioritize workload based off future deadlines, identifying training needs, and operating the full range of gasoline and diesel powered vehicles. - Failure to meet this Screen Out Element will result in an ineligible rating. Ability To Lead or Supervise Administration and Management Operation of Motor Vehicles Planning and Evaluating Training and Employee Development Plans weekly and monthly work schedules and sequence of operations for subordinates. Establish deadlines and priorities based of work schedules and policies established by higher levels of supervision. Explain work requirements, methods, and procedures; instruct subordinates in the new procedures; and provide advice when problems arise. Review in-progress and completed work for adequate quantity and quality. Investigate work related productivity problems and identify corrective actions that can be implemented for improvement. Identify employee training needs and initiate recommendations to provide necessary training. Develop performance standards; counsel employees on performance; make formal and informal performance appraisals. Interview candidates for vacancies and recommend selections. Maintain production reports and records. Operate the full range of gasoline and diesel powered vehicles. Perform operator’s maintenance on all vehicles in accordance with established rules and regulations.
