Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will perform nondestructive testing and analysis on mechanical components, piping systems, and structural assemblies. You will inspect nuclear reactor plant components. You will determine the internal integrity of main hydraulic systems, auxiliary sea water systems, and propulsion systems. You will complete and maintain detailed test records that are subject to audit. You will perform calibration and safety checks of test equipment prior to and after performance of inspections.
