POWERED SUPPORT EQUIPMENT REPAIRER - Army National Guard Units

Military Grades: E-3 through E-7 Compatible Military Assignments: Immaterial GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Experience or training which demonstrates the knowledge of mechanical work; ability to read and use technical manuals, illustrations, diagrams and schematics, and skill in the use of equipment and hand tools used in troubleshooting, testing and repairing equipment. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must have experience or training which demonstrates a basic understanding of electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic theory and the makeup and operation of the various individual systems and their interrelationships. Experience using a small variety of test and measurement devices. Experience removing, adjusting, replacing, cleaning and installing a variety of parts, components, and accessories. Experience reading and interpreting technical manuals, blueprints, diagrams, and schematics. WORKING CONDITICNS: Works inside and outside in inclement weather, on icy, wet and slippery ramps, aircraft surfaces and work stands. Subject to the dangers from exposure to toxic fumes, high pressure air and fluids, aud electrical current. Subject to the hazards of engine intake noise, fumes, heat, blast and rotating propellers. Physical efforts to involve climbing, stooping, standing, bending, stretching, and working in tiring and uncomfortable positions. As a POWERED SUPPORT EQUIPMENT OPERATOR, WG- 5378-08, you will perform duties that involve the mechanical repairs and maintenance on powered qround and other support equipment used in aircraft servicing and repair. Additionally, the position is responsible for a variety of duties involving the qround refueling of fixed and rotary wing aircraft. Perform preventive maintenance and repair of associated mobile and fixed fuel distribution system. Perform other duties as assigned.
