Probation Support Technician - U.S. Courts

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: High school graduate or equivalent plus general experience in clerical, office, or other work that indicates the possession of, or the ability to acquire, the knowledge and skills needed to successfully perform the duties of this position. College education of at least 2 semesters may substitute for general experience. The successful applicant must: Possess good multi-tasking skills and have strong interpersonal/verbal communication skills, be a team-player and flexible in a changing environment, possess strong computer skills, utilizing word processing and database applications, maintain confidentiality, and practice good work ethics. Only the most qualified applicants in good standing will be considered for the position. REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES: Assists in performing investigations of all types for the office and other districts. Researches, retrieves and verifies addresses, collateral requests, employment, education, treatment, credit reports and social history information. Receives and transfers files from other districts. Retrieves and verifies criminal history information. Enters data and uploads documents in probation/pretrial automated case tracking system (PACTS). Assists in completing pretrial collateral investigations. Processes incoming and outgoing correspondence. Answers and screens phone calls. Performs other duties as assigned.
