GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Experience, education or training which involves the exercise of analytical ability, judgment, discretion, and personal responsibility, and application of a substantial body of knowledge of principles, concepts and practices applicable to one or more fields of administration or management. Experience using computer and automation systems. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: To qualify for the GS-0080-11 position, you must have at least 12 months of experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level. Experience, education or training in collecting and analyzing data effectively, efficiently, and accurately. Able to apply procedures and directives by reading and interpreting technical material. Ability to communicate clearly and effectively orally and in writing, using presentation and report formats. Demonstrated ability to follow directions, to read, understand, and retain a variety of instructions, regulations, and procedures. Learned ability to assess the surrounding environment to recognize immediate risk levels. Must have the education and validated understanding of the basic principles ad concepts of the occupational series and grade for one of the seven organizational program disciplines and its applicable Security Series career. As a SECURITY SPECIALIST (PROTECTION) -Title 32, GS-0080-11, you will serve as the ARNG Protection Specialist for functional elements and related physical and operations security policy and issues, handling of intelligence and law enforcement sensitive information, managing assigned program areas, directing studies and reviewing, revising and implementing protection policy and budget projects. This position is located within the Joint Force Headquarters (JFHQ), J3 Domestic Operations Directorate. ***Indefinite positions are not permanent and have no guarantee to continued employment. Indefinite employees may be subject to separation from employment at any time with a 30 day written notification. If the position becomes permanent, employee may be converted to a permanent appointment without further competition at management's discretion.***
