Join us in our mission to improve health and improve lives.Labcorp is seeking a Specimen Processor III to join our team in Brooklyn, NY.Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 6:00pm - 2:30am, and rotating weekendsJob Responsibilities:Prepare laboratory specimens for analysis and testingPick up samples directly from client officeCommunicate effectively with client office staffResearch, troubleshoot and resolve and document customer and specimen problems, return specimens to client offices for corrections as neededPartner with sales to resolve onsite concerns/issues and support initial client set up and expectation settingScrub requisitions to resolve missing items/detailsSpin/freeze/split or other special services as required by clientMeet department activity and production goalsData entry of patient information in an accurate and timely mannerAccurately identify and label specimensProperly prepare and store excess specimen samplesMinimum Qualifications:High School diploma or GED or equivalent2 years or more experience in lab, accessioning, production, manufacturing or warehouse2 years or more medical or patient facing healthcare experiencePreferred Qualifications:Current or prior Labcorp experienceAdditional Job Standards:Proficient computer and typing skillsComfortable handling human biological specimens including blood, urine and tissue samplesAbility to lift up to 40lbs, work in protective equipment and sit/stand for long periods of timeStrong eye hand coordination in order to accurately identify specimens by touch and sightAbility to work both independently and in a team environmentHigh level of attention to detail with the ability to problem solveStrong communication skills; both written and verbalAble to pass a standardized color blindness testAre you organized, accountable, and have always gone the extra mile to make sure things are done right? The position, Senior Specimen Processing Specialist, will be responsible for performing clinical specimen accessioning, sample sorting and data entry in a fast-paced, high-throughput environment located onsite with one of our client offices.**Pay Range: $18.10 - $34.00 per hour 2nd shift differentialAll job offers will be based on a candidate's skills and prior relevant experience, applicable degrees/certifications, as well as internal equity and market dataBenefits: Employees regularly scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits including: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, STD/LTD, 401(k), Paid Time Off (PTO) or Flexible Time Off (FTO), Tuition Reimbursement and Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
