This experience need not have been in the federal government. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations e.g., professional; philanthropic, religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies; knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. To qualify at the GS-13 level: SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: You must possess one full year (52 weeks) of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 in the Federal service. Specialized experience is defined as: Creating Statistical Analysis Systems (SAS) programming language and advising on SAS programming issues. Designing, developing, and applying Statistical Analysis System (SAS) software functions and features to create, modify, test, and maintain statistical programs. Communicating complex technical, statistical, and program information orally and in writing to diverse audiences, including technical and non-technical stakeholders, management officials, or customers.
As a Statistical Analysis Systems (SAS) Specialist, you will perform the following duties: Researches, analyzes, and interprets statistical data and information, and communicate sound recommendations. Communicates information in various forms to diverse audiences to promote understanding and skill in the use of Statistical Analysis Systems (SAS). Designs, develops, and applies advanced Statistical Analysis Systems (SAS) software functions and features to analyze complex data, automate processes, and support organizational decision-making. Prepares Statistical Analysis Systems (SAS) programming language that routinely yields outcomes consistent with Antidumping methodologies. Communicates information in various forms to diverse audiences to promote understanding and skill in the use of Statistical Analysis Systems (SAS).
