SUPERVISORY PRODUCTION SPECIALIST (TRAINING) - U.S. Pacific Fleet

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector analyzing and evaluating production trade qualifications, training standards, procedures, and trends and recommending effective training improvements to ensure personnel gain the necessary knowledge and skills to meet project schedule and mission requirements for repairing and overhauling naval vessels. Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will serve as subject matter expert (SME) and senior advisor for training development programs in the production resources department. You will oversee the administrative and technical supervision of staff involved in production training programs. You will plan and assign work, and prepare schedules according to established priorities. You will establish performance standards and assess subordinates' work, offering advice and counsel as needed. You will prepare and deliver oral and written presentations and represent the department at meetings and conferences. You will manage training programs and associated administrative duties, such as administering the apprentice program, overseeing curriculum, scheduling classes, maintaining records and qualifications, and approving training packages.
