In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for Individual Occupational Requirements for Social Science, 0101 positions and Group Coverage Qualifications Standard for Professional and Scientific Positions. To qualify at the GS-13 grade level, your resume must demonstrate at least one (1) full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-12 grade level in the federal or private sector. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work. Examples of specialized experience include performing the following types of tasks on a regular basis. Specialized experience may include the following: Analyzing procedures and best practices related to prevention, response, victim adovcay, reporting, and decision points related to incidents of sexual assault. Providing recommendations and resolves program issues based on data analysis and knowledge of applicable regulations and policies. Analyzing workforce training requirements, developing tracking tools to monitor expiring credentials; development and present training to the workforce or command leadership. Managing program data, preparing reports, and providing technical support for DSAID and CATCH systems. NOTE: Education cannot be substituted for experience at this grade level. National Service Experience (i.e., volunteer experience): Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
You will serve as a Supervisory Regional SARC and be responsible for monitoring, coordinating, and evaluating various components of the SAPRR program within the assigned area of responsibility, including planning, organizing, developing, training, networking, and publicizing services. Being a Coast Guard civilian makes you a valuable member of the Coast Guard team. Typical work assignments include: Providing technical guidance and compliance support to Sexual Assault Response Coordinators and Victim Advocate Program Specialists. Conducting program reviews to evaluate compliance with sexual assault prevention and response requirements. Developing policies, procedures, and guidance for the Sexual Assault Prevention, Response, and Recovery (SAPRR) program. Analyzing sexual assault program data and prepares reports to support program oversight and decision-making. Serving as the convergence point for War Department, Coast Guard, SAPRR.
