Description
To qualify at the GS-12 grade level, your resume must demonstrate at least one (1) full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-11 grade level in the federal sector. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work. Examples of specialized experience include performing the following types of tasks on a regular basis. Creating training products (lesson plans, job aids, course manuals, instructor guides etc.) according to written standards and guidelines. Providing recommendations for a training program, evaluating or revising curriculum for training program. Developing and conducting studies and evaluations of leadership and professional development programs to recommend methods for improving policy, procedures, methods and doctrine concerning the training and professional development of legal program members/employees. Analyzing near and long-term planning estimates and budget requests to determine the impact on the training and professional development program. You will serve as a Training Specialist for the Office of Legal Policy and Program Development (CG-LPD) you will serve in an advisory role as consultant and technical advisor to senior management on training, developing and executing the legal program training. Being a Coast Guard civilian makes you a valuable member of the Coast Guard team. Typical work assignments include: Planning and coordinating the development of curricula for courses related to the Coast Guard's Legal Program Professional Development and Training. Managing the development of training activities, job aids and other resources included in the Professional Development and Training Program. Developing and conducting studies and evaluations of Coast Guard and DoW/DHS operating entities' military and civilian leadership and professional development programs. Serving as program expert on planning and budgetary issues and activities as these activities impact the training and professional development program.
