Probationary Period: As a condition of employment for accepting this position, you may be required to serve a 1-year Probationary Period to evaluate your fitness and whether your continuation of employment advances the public interest. This Probationary Period is an extension of the appointment process and therefore requires the agency to determine if continued employment would advance the public interest, meet the organization goals and mission of the agency, and/or otherwise promote the efficiency of the service. Qualifications: All qualifications must be met by the closing date of this announcement-08/31/2026-unless otherwise stated in this vacancy announcement. To qualify for this position, you must have sufficient knowledge and ability in the following job-related factors: Ability To Do The Work Of The Position Without More Than Normal Supervision (SCREEN OUT) Ability To Interpret Instructions, Specification, etc. (includes blueprints reading) Ability To Use and Maintain Tools and Equipment Knowledge of Equipment Assembly, Installation Repair, etc. Knowledge of materials Technical Competence Technical Practices (theoretical precise, artistic) Use of Measuring Instruments Vehicle Operation SCREEN OUTS: Minimum Qualifications: WG-07 - Experience without more than normal supervision performing plumbing tasks such as replacing hose bibs, valves, nipples, unions and elbows, fixtures, flush valves, and various types of pipes. WG-09 - Experience without more than normal supervision repairing and maintaining all facets of a potable water treatment facility and wastewater treatment facility including repair work on basic plumbing systems such as service lines, tanks, filters, and valves and electrical systems such as pumps, air compressors control panels and switches. Driver's License: Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license throughout employment. Certification to be Eligible for WG-07 - Must hold a WY Water Level 1 or Wastewater Level 1 Certifications at time of application or other state equivalent.
