These, in addition to the requirements listed below, are essential to the success of your career with Restoration Management Company.Job Summary The National Construction Superintendent is required to travel across the country to respond to restoration and/or reconstruction losses nationwide and provide on-site superintendent support. Emergencies can occur at any time and require immediate mobilization. During emergency response operations, the National Construction Superintendent conducts on-site damage assessments, establishes operational priorities, mobilizes crews and subcontractors, and leads recovery efforts designed to minimize property damage, business interruption, and liability. They are responsible for overseeing multiple technicians while simultaneously managing the production of multiple construction (repair) projects that are generally outsourced to subcontractors. This role collaborates with subcontractors to determine the scope of work, negotiate prices, coordinate schedules, and ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with quality standards. The National Construction Superintendent manages field teams, materials, and project timelines while working closely with clients and internal departments to deliver successful project outcomes. This position reports directly to Regional Operations Manager and interfaces regularly with other departments as required.Key Responsibilities Core responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to: Collaborates and communicate effectively with adjusters, customers, co-workers and contractors - articulating scope of work, expectations, timelines. Respond to losses nationwide, including traveling to project sites on short notice to provide on-site leadership and operational support. Responsible for negotiating pricing, confer and obtain approval to proceed from Branch Manager, National Operations Manager, and/or Regional Operations Manager. Create cost estimates for supplies, materials and other project costs. Provides scope and direction of work performed by subcontractors to ensure work performed as agreed to and to customer satisfaction. Recommend and implement changes in the operation of projects as necessary to meet construction budgets and deadlines. Coordinate the delivery of materials and equipment with suppliers and vendors. Develop means of tracking and monitoring subcontractor work; follow-up regularly and update job records. Provides Project Managers or Project Directors budgets and schedules for repair projects prior to commencement of work. Reviews all project related documents and work orders and ensures delivery to appropriate parties in order to bill in a timely manner. Manages and maintains job budgets and schedules. Creates and maintains schedule for subcontractors performing work on the jobs assigned. Evaluates subcontractor performance, report deficiencies, and addresses corrective actions. Obtains necessary permits or city licenses through local agencies as necessary. Reviews and approves paperwork and billing promptly. Provide regular reporting to management and project stakeholders on job site operations (schedules, performance, personnel). Travel extensively throughout the United States, including evenings, weekends, and extended assignments as business needs dictate. Support the Company's safe workplace policies and practices and promotes adherence. Experience/ Requirements The position of National Construction Superintendent requires the following: Experience in commercial construction performing supervisory or superintendent duties, specific to construction and/or restoration/mitigation loss.
