Rigging Worker - U.S. Pacific Fleet

Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will perform activities in receiving, issuing, storing, segregating, selecting, handling, preparing, inventory, and shipping of explosive and inert ordnance material. You will demonstrate skill in rigging, stowage and storage, forklift operation, ordnance material preparation, documentation, inventory, blocking and bracing, and motor vehicle operations. You will ensure all procured parts have proper certification documentation. You will assist in the proper disposal of ordnance handling equipment that is beyond repair, obsolete, or is otherwise deemed no longer viable for useful service. You will be responsible for all rigging for ammunition handling pier and ship, production buildings, and other work sites.
