You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. To qualify at the GS-15 level: SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: You must possess one full year (52 weeks) of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-14 in the Federal service. Specialized experience is defined as: Formulating, coordinating, and providing strategic guidance on the design and development of U.S. trade policy and export promotion strategies, Developing policy or strategy recommendations for senior officials regarding international trade or commercial issues; Communicating economic, trade, commercial, or legislative issues, both orally and in writing, to senior-level and high-ranking officials within and outside the Federal Government; AND Leading teams and/or supervising staff by assigning and prioritizing work, providing guidance and direction, monitoring performance, and ensuring the timely achievement of organizational and program objectives. As a Supervisory International Trade Specialist, you will perform the following duties: Assessing the impact of foreign government actions on the competitiveness of U.S. industries. Developing and carrying out programs and engagements to strengthen U.S. industry international competitiveness and improve the competitive position of U.S. industry in foreign markets. Analyzing the acquisition of foreign citizens of domestic industry assets for its impact on national security. Communicating analyses and program details to both internal and external audiences through staff meetings, speaking engagements, internet content, reports, and briefing materials.
