General Experience: Must have the following experiences: Demonstrating knowledge of equipment Preventative maintenance tasks Using common tools and equipment Specialized Experience: Must have 12 months of the following experiences: Using common hand and power tools Using testing and measurement devices Removing, adjusting, replacing, cleaning, and installing a variety of parts, components, and accessories Applying mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic theory to vehicles Replacing, fitting, installing, and making adjustments Understanding of the makeup and operation of the various individual systems Reading and interpreting parts lists, manufactures' repair manuals, diagrams, and electrical schematics As an ALLIED TRADES WORKER, WG-5801-8, you will: Operate various welding equipment Modify, repair and make canvas parts Repairs mobile equipment metal body components such as fenders, panels, hooks, truck beds. Remove and replace wood type trailer decking Prepare surfaces by sanding and wire brushing Perform other Duties as Assigned
