APPOINTMENT STATUS: EXCEPTED This is a Dual Status Excepted Service Technician position in the Pennsylvania Air National Guard. GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Experience, education, or training interpreting, explaining, and/or applying a variety of regulations and procedures. Experience using computer and automation systems. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must have at least 24 months experience, education or training in any position that required compiling reports, letters, memoranda, etc., and required person-to-person contacts to convey information. Applicants must have experience providing technical guidance and assistance in the type of work or in comparable work of the position to be filled. Applicants must have a thorough knowledge and understanding of administrative procedures and practices of management. Experience developing administrative procedures. Maintain, control, and assign security levels to users to ensure security of the database. Perform the following operations for an average of 100 aircrew members. Provide go-no-go reports and conducts pre-mission and post-mission reviews; records aircrew and aircraft flying hour data; determine aviation service actions for attached and assigned flying personnel as it directly affects mission accomplishment and safety of flight. Create, analyze, and maintain end of month reports that monitors Aviation Positions Indicator (API) codes, Aviation Service Codes (ASC), entitlement status and flying status to ensure accuracy and compliance with applicable regulations. Primary member within the Operations Group responsible for accuracy of Wing Flying Hour Program by developing procedures to reconcile flying hours with Maintenance. OPR for aviation packages to include inter-service transfers, aeronautical rating boards, flying evaluation boards, operational flying duty accumulator, exception to policies, flying activity codes, aviation service date adjustments, disqualifications, requalification's/revalidations. Certifies flying status in the Air National Guard Reserve Order Writing System. Work independently to provide aircrews with information and assistance for planning and conducting safe flight operations.
