Experience: You qualify for this position if you have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-12 level in the Federal Service. For this position, specialized experience is defined as providing leadership, direction, planning, management and administration of complex facilities management functions. Your resume must be no more than two (2) pages and should clearly demonstrate how your experience aligns with the responsibilities and specialized experience required for this position. The Facility Operations Specialist has immediate oversight of the facility's day-to-day operations and maintenenace needs. In this position, you will: Plan and carry out building management and facilities operations and maintenance. Be responsible for the management and coordination of all activities relating to the physical operation, maintenance, and in-house repair and improvements of the facilities, their grounds, parking lots, and entry ways. Update, obtain reports, and perform analyses through the use of automated facility management database systems. Develop and plan staffing requirements, work schedules, priorities, training, and evaluation of all subordinate staff for improving employee skills. Communicate orally, clearly and concisely, to provide information and direction to a wide range of individuals and organizations. Communicate in writing, through memos, reports, and e-mails, to a wide range of individuals and organizations, clearly and concisely.
