Description

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Understanding biosafety, aseptic protocols, and strict environmental controls needed to prevent the loss of animal life or active research Reading and interpreting complex architectural drawings, schematics, and critical utility shut-off locations Familiarity with fire, electrical, and safety codes specific to medical/laboratory environments Gaining daily operational proficiency in the Work Management System (WMS) and the database administration. Tracking local work order costs and basic expenditures Managing standard building systems (HVAC, basic electrical). You will serve a Facility Operations Specialist and will be responsible for a wide array of facilities support, maintenance and administrative support functions which are critical to mission effectiveness and success. You will required to maintain an environment that is safe, secure, clean, accessible, functionally reliable, aesthetically suitable, appropriate for the mission and level of medical research services supported You will provide oversight of all assigned facility maintenance contracts. You will plan, coordinate, and implement a comprehensive facility project management program to provide an optimum level of service. You will oversee the plans, programs, and budgets for minor and major construction, maintenance and repair of facilities, environmental compliance, and contract compliance. You will manage operations performed by on-site and/or external government and/or contracted services (facility support, real property maintenance and repair, and environmental management).
