IT Support Student Trainee (Volunteer) - Federal Aviation Administration

Must be enrolled no less than half-time in an accredited trade school, technical or vocational institute, junior college, college, university, or other accredited educational institution. Qualifications must be met by the closing date of this vacancy announcement. The Student Trainee will provide on-site IT support services to the Office of the Chief Counsel (AGC), helping maintain daily technology operations and support end users. assisting with the setup, maintenance, and troubleshooting of hardware and software systems. Responsibilities include supporting end users with technical issues, assisting with system configuration, managing user access and devices, and ensuring the proper operation of IT equipment in the office environment. Under the guidance of experienced personnel, the intern will gain hands-on exposure to federal IT systems, service support processes, and technology operations. The student will perform selected on the job assignments and receive instruction on agency or departmental goals, objectives, regulations, procedures, occupational hazards, safety standards, inspection techniques and work processes. Preferred experience and/or education in information technology and/or information systems. APPOINTMENT: If selected, your volunteer role may not exceed a total of 120 days after completing educational requirements. Participation in this program may be terminated at any time. AGREEMENT: All participants must sign a written Volunteer Service Agreement with their manager that clearly identifies expectations of the appointment such as duties, length of appointment, work schedule, training, mentorship etc.
