Laborer - Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service

To qualify, you must show you have had training and experience of sufficient scope and quality to provide you with the knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the duties of the position. The duties may include, but are not limited to: Assists journeyman staff to manufacture and/or repackage predacides, rodenticides, avicides, and animal damage control devices. Uses simple material handling equipment to move, lift, or prepare specialized equipment for assembly or disassembly. Loads, unloads, and moves equipment, crates, boxes, and supplies by hand or with the use of a hand truck and/or dolly or other material-handling equipment. Assembles or prepares equipment, parts, or materials for shipping or mailing. Under supervision, assists journeymen to operate and maintain as instructed, precision cutting and forming machines, boring machines, punching machines and other general shop equipment.
