The Screen-out Element for this position is: ABILITY TO INSPECT Performing mechanical, piping, receipt and structural inspections, pre-arrival and material condition assessment inspections, in-process, product, pre-test, oxygen cleanliness, steam plant cleanliness, test inspections, certification and acceptance of completed work reviews on non-nuclear secondary reactor plant system components, SUBSAFE, DSS/SOC system components and Level 1 material accountability and traceability during repair, maintenance and overhaul work. Experience in mechanical, hydraulics, piping, structural, or electrical systems, along with the ability to interpret complex technical diagrams and utilize precision measuring equipment.. You will inspect surface preparation such as mechanical cleaning and chemical cleaning. You will perform work on very complex systems and components such as hull-penetration valves and various other critical components. You will perform inspections that require the use of special measuring and inspection devices such as precision micrometers and gauge blocks. You will perform Controlled Assembly verifications through inspection and material verifications for mechanical joints and assemblies that tightness testing is not practical and cannot be performed. You will independently initiate and authorize rejection of workmanship, components, materials, and procedures that do not meet specifications by preparing a Non-Nuclear Deficiency report
